You may have already noticed a reduction in lead-times for quotes that require painting. TRD has completed the transition to bring painting in- house. The new paint booth is "top-notch" and also provides a baked, industrial finished. This process requires 24 hours to cure the paint before parts can be shipped.

paintweld1.jpgLead Time for Black paint: 3-4 days (was 5-7 days)

Once we have the new process perfected, lead times will continue to be reduced. Expect an official lead-time reduction announcement early in 2007.

Paint Specifications:

Black Epoxy: This is our standard paint (same as what TRD has supplied for years). Epoxy paint has a satin (dull) finish and offers the highest resistant to chemicals. For INDOOR applications (1 year UV rating outdoors).

Optional Black Paint: Acrylic. This paint has a high gloss finish and is rated for OUTDOOR
use. There is no additional charge for the Acrylic paint. SPECIFY: ACRYLIC BLACK
PAINT in the cylinder description.

Other Colors: TRD can provide paint to your custom specification- Contact TRD for a quote.

You may have also noticed a reduction in lead-times for quotes that require special welded mounts. TRD has always relied on outside services to provide welding. Lead times typically would run 7-10 days for standard mounts requiring welding. We are currently reducing the lead times on a case by case basis, but will announce a new delivery schedule early in 2007.

paintweld3.jpgWe currently have MIG and TIG welding capabilities, along with support equipment to weld aluminum, steel and stainless steel. Some materials or welds require that the parts be pre-heated to 600-800 degrees F. (in an oven).
