- Hollow center or through hole cylinders can be provided in several designs.
- Double Rod End Cylinders- Are typically gun-drilled and can have internal or external rod threads, complicated machining or plain rod ends. Typical uses are for filling applications (liquid or gas), test fixtures or charging stations. Some customers have added internal shaft bearings and drive shafts that rotate polishing heads while the cylinder provides a variable polishing force depending on supply pressure to the cylinder.
- Large through holes- Can be provided in large bore cylinders. TRD has designed several hollow-center, triple rod cylinders with single rod ends and also double rod end models. The larger through hole will allow for greater design flexibility and use.
